Monitor LED changes from amber to green but no video or OSD. The system powers up fine (post ok) and shuts down fine (using a keyboard shortcut). The monitor is 4 or 5 years old, pretty heavy usage. Is it safe to say my monitor is dead?
Many thanks

When your monitor starts to lose its color it means its usually starting to go bad. Occasionally if it’s a CRT monitor you can try the degauss feature and it will clear it up. I have seen it where the connection to the computer is loose or the cable itself is shorting which will cause the same type of effect on the monitor. I would jiggle the connection to see if it changes the image. If you have another computer to try the monitor on I would do that as well to make sure its not your video card causing the problem

Try this, when the LED changes to green, disconnect the monitor from the computer and see if any image appears on the screen. You can also try it on a known good computer. if none of these produces any results, then your monitor is dead for sure.

while the site visitors mild modifications to amber that's an illustration to on coming site visitors that the lights are changing to crimson (provide up). I truly have considered drivers speed as much as objective and beat them in trouble-free terms to be in touch in a bad twist of destiny .specially circumstances deadly. the hassle is every person is often sorry while that's to late. some site visitors lights now have cameras which checklist the offence breakers.that's no longer a great brother element yet basically delivered approximately via the inconsideration some human beings have for the regulation.
