You may have to adjust your monitor settings!

These days, a monitor is not base on computer specs and therefore they can use VGA output or DVI output and depending on your graphics card and your monitor they can either work together or not!

If you have problems than you will have to perform debugging which can lead you to plugging your monitor into a VGA adapter which you can if you have an external VGA adapter that plugs into the computer DVI port to your monitor and vice-versa!

If that does not work then you have set your graphics card inappropriately which boils down to not being aligned right in the socket which in most cases is the culprit of the problem.

My advice take out the graphics card and reinsert. If that does not work then you will need to try the above solutions!

Check the connector, it may not be functioning well.
