The light not changing color on the monitor is the monitors way of telling you it is not getting a signal from the video card of the computer. It could be a number of problems - but to put it simply the old computer is not working.

Turn on the old computer and listen carefully does the fan start up and after about 5 - 40 seconds you should hear a single beep. This is the computer checking its components (including the video card) and "posting". If a beep but the monitor stays black.. Computer repair shop time. If no beep probably a power supply problem or video card problem. You can easily replace the power supply or video card.

You can always take the hard drive out of the old computer and put it in your new one. CAUTION!!! Change the jumper on the back of the hard drive to the SLAVE position then just put it in your new computer connect the cable and power to it and the computer should see the drive and get to the information on the drive. Use it as a second internal hard drive as needed.

sounds like your power supply is bad. if the monitor works on another pc then that would be my first guess...had it happen 3 times ....so far.

i'm uncertain what you're getting at, or the place you get carry of the thought printer ink is purple, blue, and green. purple, blue, and green are the commonplace hues of light, while ink is many times magenta, blue, and yellow (and black). EDIT: the commonplace additive hues are purple, green, and blue (purple and green make yellow); the commonplace subtractive hues are purple, yellow, and blue.
