I have an hp laptop with hdmi out and an hdtv. i ran an hdmi cable to the tv to use as secondary monitor. i set it to extended display on my laptop. im using windows 7 also. but when i set it up to extended it shows my background but i cant move the mouse over to it or drag programs over to it. my main goal is to be able to watch hulu and netflix, and still browse the internet at the same time. i want to be able to put hulu or netflix on the secondary monitor (my tv.) and use my laptop to browse the internet while watching tv. help me please! thanks =]

So your card has a vga and dvi plug on it? you should flow to the exhibit administration panel and click enlarge laptop to this computer screen. it would want to be high quality in case you had a a kind with dvi enter, they're available. each and every time you substitute signal kind, it really is not as sparkling as if it grow to be designed to it. in reality it is going to paintings, you probably did not say what the objective is, or the setup.

on the desktop, right click, properties, display and select extend desktop. that should make it work!
