When you try to use it, a window should pop up telling you what to do and asking what type of connection you have, ie;cable/dsl or dialup.

I had the same problem. It was reading my video card as a webcam, you just have to play around in the options and look too see whats wrong. just go to tools or options and just click on every menu and play around with it.
