My friend has the same problem, he was running Quad core 2.4GHz and 6GB RAM. It could be anything to do with the drivers or the registry files, or your actual RAM. Here's what you should do

1. Clear your RAM cache. Get as much free RAM as you can.

(Another option here is eBoostr. You could download eBoostr with a memory stick, and use your memory stick as RAM if that helps. (or readyboost it.))

2. Disk Cleanup. Clean up your disk, get rid of all the useless crap that might be messing with your computer.

3. Registry cleanup. Check your registry files for corruption, it might be to fault.

4. Virus check. Make sure you don't have any virus play hell with your graphics settings.

5. Defragment your computer. This will reduce the risk of corrupt graphics drivers, or any drivers for that matter.

6. Update your PC? Maybe you have updates released by Windows (I take it your smart and using a PC) designed to get rid of this glitch. Worth a shot.

Hope this helps.

blue screen of death deals witha bad operating system. you would need to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the operating system. you could use a recovery disk, a recovery partition, or a reinstallation disk. before you reformat you should look into backing up your files first. you can do so with a hard drive enclosure. this will allow you to access files off the hard drive without having to log in through the system. i use a bt-300 from topmicrousa which i would suggest you check out as well.

after you are done backing up your hard drive, reformat the operating system then recopy your files.

if you have any more questions feel free to send me an email and ill be happy to help \(^_^)/

In Win ninety 8 that became brought about by using some documents that have been mandatory yet no longer put in. The BSOD suggested something approximately .VXD and the lacking documents have been all .VXD extensions, six of them. i might wager that your new video card is attempting to call something from a document that became no longer put in. Do you undergo in ideas some such message? if so you may merely get all the .CAB documents off your installation disc and extract all documents of that extension to the two /domicile windows/device and domicile windows/system32. in case you have somewhat some stress area you may merely extract all extensions from all cab documents.
