I'm getting rid of some old CRT monitors and TVs:

17" HP pavilion mx75 computer monitor (2003)
20" Phillips Magnavox TV (90s)
22" Sony Trintron TV (90s)

The HP monitor and the Sony TV still work, the Philips doesn't. I've heard that places like Goodwill and Salvation Army now refuse to take in this kind of stuff, and if I want to recycle it, I need to pay some kind of fee. I've heard some people convert these things to fish tanks, but does anyone buy old TVs anymore?

Toss it on Craigslist and find out. You could probably get a few bucks for them. If you've "heard" that these places don't take them, then go find out for yourself. They may well take working units. I've seen TVs at Goodwill.

This is just my opinion. Others may say something else. But nobody wants CRTs and tvs that aren't considered flat anymore. If you want to recycle them, then good for you . But I, myself would just toss them in the dumpster.

you can sell it on computer recycling companies like the link I added on the source.
