I've just started using dual monitors. My primary monitor is an lcd monitor and my 2nd monitor is my HDTV. My problem is when I set for dual monitors my HDTV screen is completely blank, just the desktop wallpaper. No task bar or start menu, nothing. I've gotta drag over a window or media player when I want something on there. Basically I want to know how to get a task bar on both monitors so I don't have to keep dragging everything from screen to screen.

Sounds like you have the primary and secondary monitors mixed up. You want the desktop icons on the pc monitor, set the pc monitor as primary

i will be the first to tell u the good news... the "problem ur having is supposed to happen. ur tv is set has the child monitor or second monitor and the other is the primary. if u want both tv and monitor to have the same screen on them then u must do something called cloning the screen. its a preference in the settings. try looking up "cloning monitors" on goggle

Then you need to set the dual monitor mode to "Clone" instead of "extend my desktop to this monitor". That would make it so both have taskbars and both show the same images.

Alternatively, you could use a program like Ultramon to enable task bars on both monitors and allow for different things on each one.

Assumign the pc is operating domicile windows, pass to the exhibit settings and regulate it to mirror the exhibit on both or to "make higher my domicile windows computer" in case you favor to apply both in a protracted computer config.
