Multi Monitors wont work Any ideas?

okay i got 2 monitors and the 1 is working fine and is connected to my gfx card slot and the other 1 to my motherboard slot the 1 on the gfx card works fine but the other 1 is dead (shows noting )

If you have the graphics card in your expansion slot enabled then the onboard graphics are going to be disabled. This is why your not seeing anything on the monitor connected to your motherboard.

It probably won't work that way, the onboard video is usually disabled when a video card is installed the 8600GT should support 2 monitors - does it have 2 connectors at the back? - you may need a DVI-VGA adapter to connect it but - check the manual for the card or the suppliers website
