Question:
What could the problem be? Monitor Connection?

I bought a Gaming PC today...

Got it home, set it up, switched it on, the tower booted up fine, keyboard and mouse responded superb.

Monitor was switched on, however it was as if the monitor wasn't connected to the tower.

I checked all connections, etc... but still nothing.

What could the problem be?

This is the one I bought from PC World http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/packard-bl-ipower-i9521-uk-and-packard-bell-maestro-242-dx-24-widescreen-lcd-monitor-06129765-pdt.html

if you got another computer in the house swap the monitors round then you'll know if its the monitor or pc. OR even simpler plug the monitor into the motherboard and not the graphics card then if it works its probably the gpu, also with the limited mobo graphics at least you can check for newer drivers for the gpu.

Run the set up disc that came with the monitor and then download the latest ones from the manufacturer's website.

If it did not come with a setup disc use another computer or laptop and get the drivers and run it on your new machine.

yea your CRT is previous. its in all risk outlived its usefullness and the plugs and circuits are wiped out. So thier rather isn't any restore. u can attempt banging it, or take it to a restore place yet identity recommend in simple terms paying for a sparkling visual exhibit unit
