Just wondering if there's a way to wire up my iPad to make it my primary monitor for my pc or raspberry pi ( should be here soon ). Doesn't matter if I can't use the touch screen function while in operation, I can use a mouse and key board but will it work as either a touch or non touch primary screen. Thanks in advance

You cannot plug your PC or another device into the iPad to use it as a monitor, no. The iPad does not have a video input.

You can purchase and install AirDisplay http://itunes.apple.com/app/air-display/id368158927?ign-mpt=uo%3D6&mt=8 software and the Windows or OSX software for AirDisplay http://avatron.com/apps/air-display plus a WiFi network to use the iPad as a second display

You could also use an app like LogMeIn Ignition or another remote access app to remotely view and/or control your PC's screen.

I don't think that's possible to do with a hard wired connection of any kind. But, there may be an app that will allow you to remotely use your iPad as a monitor via wifi.

I'm a bit jealous that your Pi is already on it's way, and I haven't even been contacted yet to order one. I'm way down on the list. Maybe in a few years...lol
