i don't know what happened, but i turned on my computer this morning and i noticed it was kind of lagging - i didn't think anything of it because i have wireless internet and it may have been because my brother (who i share the internet with) might have been playing games or downloading games. i had walked out to eat lunch and when i came back, my computer when to a blue screen then quickly went to a black screen. this had never happened before but the computer then self-restarted. then nothing worked. the computer was frozen and the screen kept blank and never loaded to the desktop.

has anyone had this problem before?? if so, please them me how to fix it.
and if anyone knows how to fix it, please please tell me!!

thnx in advance!!

1) Never..EVER (sorry) even "think" about pressing ANY buttons without that monitor operational.

You'll be facing the horror of waking up in the morning with a complete stranger.

2) All electronic instruments may need an occasional (what i call) "heart attack" induced upon them, God bless their little souls. Think of how the cell phone company asks you to shut down the phone and remove the battery for two minutes.

In the case of a computer (which is a much more stubborn animal), instead of shutting it down, you'll need to leave it on (don't worry) and simply unplug the power plug from the wall. Your blue screen indicates an operational monitor that is not in communication with the tower (The poor monitor is only doing it's job. Which is.. doing exactly as it's told. Nothing.

3) Wait a minute or two. When you plug it back in and press the tower power button (the only "button pressing" in all of this), you will be effectively giving thee ole pc a "Heimlich maneuver" followed by an automatic windows reconfiguration.
