No, you can't run two different video cards in one PC, at least not these days*. Trying this won't hurt your computer, but it won't operate untill you pull the conflicting card. Instead, you'll need a dual head graphics card, available for as little as twenty dollars after MIR if you don't have one. The cards usually just have DVI plugs on the back nowadays, but they also toss in DVI->VGA adaptors. This will let you connect ANY 15-pin VGA monitor- basically any PC monitor made since about 1992.

*Hercules and SVGA was a common pick among CAD folks and Unix hackers back in the early 90's. Has to do with memory shadowing and color card conflicts....

OK cool dude so you want to connect your monitor to your new computer. That is possible as long as you have two monitor out connections. Most older monitors have a connection wire that is a part of the monitor. If you see two connections for your monitor the you should be okay. These can be found on the back of your computer on your video card bay.

Second question you want to connect your older video card in your new computer. Well this is a tough one. If the video cards are the same video cards then you could connect them with an SLI switch....but the motherboard on your new computer has to be able to support it. For example, if i have two nvida 8800 GTs I can connect them through the two PCI-E slots on my motherboard. However if they are different I wouldn't recommend trying this. If you connect two different video cards on your computer the computer will ask you which one do you want to use. You can only use one. Anyways I hate to write so much but I hope this helps you out. Congrats on your new computer and happy gaming!

If ure comp has a new graphics card. Buy a Dvi > VGA cable and connect it ure new montior. And the Other VGA port, connect ure old monitor there. Go to ure graphics cards settings and clone ure displays. Remeber both resolutuions will be the same.

U CANT HAVE 2 GRAPHICS CARD UNLESS THERE ARE THE SAME AND SLI OR CROSSFIRE. (DONT BOTHER)

URE NEW GRPAHICS CARD WILL HAVE A DVI AND VGA PORT. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS ABOVE.

this will give u 2 monitors connected to 1 pc

Your superb wager is going be be NT4.one million. we don't be conscious of in case you have a sixty 4-bit or, in all probability, 32-bit cpu. you could upload a serial card. i've got no longer seen a serial card in sixteen+ years, yet you could upload a serial card. you will % a mouse till now domicile windows could even bypass the splash reveal. in case you may get that a procedures, then you extremely might have all the peripheral enjoying cards out of the device. setting up to SCSI as C: rigidity could be problematic. Sounds to me this grew to become right into a linux record-server setup and you run it with command-line BASH instructions.
